I recently had a thought-provoking conversation with one of my students during our last class. She shared that when she was in college, she was very focused on her health and fitness. She exercised every day and was careful about her diet. However, after getting married, having kids, and starting a full-time job, she felt like she was no longer a priority. Like many of us, she found that work, family, and household responsibilities took up all of her time and energy. As women, we need to stop and consider the mental and physical toll this takes on us. Ask ourselves, "What can we do to change this?" Perhaps we can restructure our day to make time for a quick workout or physical activity. Did you know that sitting for extended periods can have serious negative effects on our health? It's time to start prioritizing ourselves and taking care of our mind and body. I hope you see this message as a reminder to take care of yourself and make yourself a priority. Let's support each other as women and encourage one another to make healthy choices.
